Hi, I’m Chris McCabe, owner of Chris McCabe Photography. I’m a Durban-based photographer with a love for creativity, people, new adventures, and beautiful moments, and I will happily travel throughout South Africa to capture your special day.

While I specialise in wedding photography, I also have a great passion for family shoots, commercial projects and event photography.

I first fell in love with photography at the age of fourteen, where I learnt to shoot with an old 35mm camera given to me by my Mom. After discovering my immense fascination and love for capturing beautiful moments, I decided to turn my passion into a career, learning as much as I could about photography, lighting and editing through various courses and work experience with a handful of incredibly talented photographers in Durban.

I’m passionate about capturing soul-filled moments of endearment, laughter and happiness. I absolutely love meeting new couples, getting to know their unique and beautiful stories, and then sharing in the most special parts of their lives, as we capture their moments together.

The most important days of our lives are filled with happiness, love and togetherness, but they can bring about nerves and stress..  I’m here to ease those nerves and help you feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible. After all, my most favourite images from each shoot are always the ones where we’ve all forgotten that the camera is even there, leaving images with only raw emotion that truly encapsulate a moment of your beautiful story.
